Description

The Edelrid PINCH introduces a revolutionary belaying experience, offering versatility and enhanced safety for sport climbing, multi-pitch climbing, and rope access techniques. This innovative device is the first on the market designed for direct attachment to the central ring of your climbing harness, providing a low, close-to-the-body position for optimal control. By positioning the device close to the body, the PINCH allows the brake rope to be gripped securely with all fingers, improving belay control and eliminating the need for fixing the device when releasing the rope.

Details:

Direct Harness Connection: The PINCH attaches directly to the harness, improving brake rope control and eliminating the risk of cross-loading a belay carabiner.

Enhanced Rope Control: Provides a greater span for paying out more rope (20-30 cm) at once, making belaying smoother and more efficient.

Anti-Panic Function: Automatically locks the device if the release lever is pulled too far, adding an extra layer of safety—ideal for both beginners and experienced users. This feature can also be deactivated using a screw for more advanced users.

Second Braking Tier: Offers controlled lowering in situations with high rope friction or when belaying lighter individuals.

Linear Rope Run: Steel braking grooves ensure a smooth, tangle-free rope run and reduce rope wear, maintaining durability and preventing discoloration from rope friction.

Multi-Directional Attachment: The PINCH can be attached to a belay station in four different directions, allowing for full flexibility in operation.

Equal Operation for Left and Right-Handed Users: Designed for easy use by climbers of all preferences.
